Age Requirements:
-You must be at least 21 years old to use our services.
Residency Requirements:
-You must be an Ohio resident. Your State ID or Driver’ License must have your current and correct physical address on it or you MUST have supporting government supplemental documentation with the corrected address.
Document Requirements:
-You will need a State Issued Photo ID and/or Driver’s License with your current address.
-If you current address does not match your photo ID, you will need to bring some form of state or government documentation with your new address on it (Ohio BMV Papers, Voter Registration, Property Tax records, etc. (Utility bills and insurance documents do not satisfy this requirement.)
-Anyone wanting to buy a firearm must fill out a 4473 NICS Background Check form.
-DO NOT purchase a gun for someone else. Protect yourself from breaking the ATF Straw Purchase laws. If you want to buy a gun for a family member as a gift: we recommend you purchase a gift certificate for the total price or having them do the 4473 as a transfer after your purchase.
-->Buying a gun for someone who is prohibited by law from possessing one or for someone who does not want his or her name associated with the transaction is a "straw purchase."
-->An illegal firearm purchase (straw purchase) is a federal crime.
-->An illegal firearm purchase can bring a felony conviction sentence of ten years in jail and a fine of up to $250,000.
-->Buying a gun for someone who can't legally do so, can cost you your good name and land you in big trouble.
-->Never buy a gun for someone who is unwilling or unable to do so. Whatever you do, Don't Lie for the Other Guy!
-Once you fill out the 4473, we review it with you and then process.
Background checks:
Can go 1 of 3 ways: Proceed, Delayed, or Denied
-Proceed: Everything came back fine and we can sell you the firearm.
-Delayed: This is neither good nor bad; it just means the ATF has to do more research. They will assign a Brady Date to your background check, meaning the ATF has 3 business days to determine your status. If it changes to proceed or denied within those 3 days, we contact you to proceed with selling the firearm and only requires re-certifying your 4473. IF THERE IS NO RESPONSE FROM THE ATF WITHIN 3 DAYS: It is our store policy that we will only proceed with the sale of the firearm if you have a valid Ohio CHL. If you do not have an Ohio CHL, we will not transfer the firearm via the Brady Date
.
-Denied: You have done something in the past that makes us unable to sell or transfer you any firearm
Please note:
-You do not need a permit to purchase a firearm in Ohio. No such permit exists.
-You do not need to register your firearm anywhere. There is no firearm registry in Ohio.
-There is no waiting period in Ohio.
-Silencers and Short Barreled Rifles are NFA items and have more requirements (contact us).
-Please feel free to ask us anything. The only dumb question is the one you don’t ask.
We have been in business since 2012, and honor the pleasure of having or keeping your business. Thank You.
